Setting Local Time in Cloud Environment

Hi All, 

Looking for some guidance around setting local time with a SQL query executed by application engine for a cloud environment. 

Currently, using SYSDATETIME() and this is not setting local time. I've amended this to add +10 hrs which works however this isn't full proof for daylight savings changes.

Any suggestions?

I am not sure but in the MT-Cloud environment it looks like the server is in the UTC time zone so the SYSDATETIME() effectively gives the UTC time.  Note that the GETUTCDATE() function is not in the SQL whitelist.  To convert to the local time, add the hours given by the CLIENTTIMESHIFT() Application Studio function.  I recommend keeping all datetimes in UTC and convert the datetime to the local time on the client side so add CLIENTTIMESHIFT()/24 to the datetime on the report. 

This means it doesn't matter where the client is, it should always display the correct local time.
