Changing RadialProgress Chart WebExtension

Hi everybody,

I've found the RadialProgress WebExtension in the sample Webextensions (Version 11), and it is great!

However, I want to adapt the colors of the arcs (and maybe later on some other simple things),

Although I thought, my programming skills are not too bad, I cannot manage this simple replacement of the color codes.:-(

Please see the attached document with my try and errors...

There must be a simple trick to get this done, and I hope somebody could help me.

Hi Ralf,

I've actually created a fair few custom web extensions (Version 11), and its not so bad. 

First thing to remember is in order to achieve what you want you'd need to effectively create a new webextension /new version with a colour parameter, the help guide is fairly comprehensive in showing you the steps.

Some steps I would do;

1. Open the webextension in notepad++ (C:Program Files (x86)InforBIApplication StudioWebServicesTemp*WebExtensionName*Visualization.js
2. Change the hex colour of current and save
3. Log in to dashboards and prove you have updated the correct section of the code - you may need to clear cache (this threw me off many times)
4. Once your happy with your code, copy the folder to a different location
5. Update the manifest.xml to include your colour parameter 
6. Reference your newly created parameter in the visualization.js
7. zip the folder
8. rename the .zip to .webextension
9. Import webextension as a new version or new extension in OLAP Repository
10. Update your App studio report to now populate parameter
11. Enjoy!

Now it is good practice to minify your code before zipping to reduce load times and protect your code a little bit (makes it almost impossible to read), though on the RadialProgress its not so necessary.
