Where can I download the source code for custom assemblies ?

Hi guys, first time posting here.

I've recently been dealing with SP replication rules and as our customization needs are fairly simple, I quickly realized it would be easier and more effective to modify the extension class method instead. I've been trying to get the source code for the MGCoreExt.dll library from Infor, but it's taking them forever to get back to me. Is there any faster way to grab source code for the custom assemblies ? We have a SyteLine developer licence and we're running version 9.01.01.

You can use some dissambler code to read to DLL.

There is not a fast way to that that unless Infor helps You...

As a rule we do not release source code for core libraries as it is considered protected IP.

Well that is kind of strange considering the following facts :

1. The MGCore extension library is effectively available in the source code for the SyteLine version 10 custom assemblies

2. The practice of developing extension class methods rather than stored procedures is encouraged in the documentation.

3. The MGCore library is part of the IDO Custom Assemblies, meaning I should eventually be able to check out and import a modified version of the assembly and symbols.

I actually think the MGCore name is misleading, I'm not talking about the base DLLs needed as reference during development (namely IDOBase, IDOCode, IDOProtocol, MGShared, etc...). I truly believe this is an oversight, it should have added to the source code for the 9.01.01 custom assemblies.

As for your offer, thank you very much, but we already have affiliated consultants here to help us. With that being said, even their plans to create custom triggers for the custom replication SPs get hindered by the fact that the RegenerateReplicationTriggers method effectively removes all triggers that it doesn't recognize as its own, so they're as clueless as we are right now.

As we're implementing multi-site functionalities in a few days and we really need to provide a fast, simple and efficient solution, please let us know if you can actually make this happen, it would mean the world to us.

Don't try understand the code specialy when You don't have it - The documentation will never explain what You need - That's is Product Internal Specification developed by many person inside and outside Infor.

If you (or one of your consultants) have access to the Product Download Centre you can download an iso file for the Custom Assembly Source code. There's a file for each version back to 8.03. Easiest way to find it is to do a Product Search for 'Source'

I've already got some help a few weeks ago in acquiring the source code to one of the custom assemblies in Factory Track. I understood the code and was able to modify it just fine without any documentation. I might be new to Infor's platforms but I know my way around code and data.

Unfortunately, the MGCore portion is nowhere to be found in the v9 iso file. That's the whole point of my request actually, I was asking to get it from someone in the forums or from a different download location.
