Calling a custom REST ION API from a document flow

Hello,

I have a custom REST ION API which acts as a SOAP wrapper and is working fine when tested in ION API:

It takes the following input. I tried adding this API to an ION API Connection Point with the following properties:

But when testing the API from the connection point, I add the input test xml that is shown above in ION API in the highlighted area:

However, I receive the following error:

Can anyone help with this?

Hi Farah,

when you select the "BOD" option in the "Request Body" tab it sends the whole BOD. When you select "XML from BOD" it just sends the noun part of the BOD. In the "Request Parameters" you can see what is being added to the actual request (parameters and body). Essentially you want whatever is being passed to be the valid SOAP envelope (as you can imagine this can be a bit tricky! alternatively you can potentially map the input values to the request body ... just check the box, paste in your soap envelope, and replace your values with <IonApiRef>xpath to value</IonApiRef> ... here's an example:

Thank you. I tried to apply this by adding my soap envelope in the request body and replacing the values with <IonApiRef>xpath to value</IonApiRef> as follows:

But now when I test, I get "Response code : 400, Response message : Bad Request and Response body :".

this is my output document:

and this is the object schema of the output file:

I believe the output document schema is working fine because when I replace the request body with static values, the output document is produced (only giving one static output which is not what required). But I think there is something i am missing in the request body maybe. Can you help with this if possible?
