Application Studio: Can a message pop-up be configured to appear after all the data in the report ha

Hi All,

I have a long-running report designed in Application Studio.

This report takes around 10 minutes to load (depending on the filter selections).

I just want to know if there is a way to display a message after all the data in report has been loaded as there is no indication on WebServices when all the records in the report have been loaded.

Hello,

In our experience with long loading reports, paging often reduces the time for the report loading in web. Also, often the most time is used for the view of the html file, and not the calculation itself. (how big is the html file ?)

To the problem with the message:

We also often have the issue, that we need to check a variable or something after report loading. This often does not work, because the variable is not fully loaded yet, when the report action (after loading the report) executes.

As a workaround we use report objects with in/out parameters which control those variables.

If they are controlled by an report object, the variable is set after report loading.

Does this information help in anyway ?

Have you tried to make your report parameter driven (so each filter drop down generates a report variable) - and then have a 'refresh' button which sets the hyperblock Report variables to the filter report variables? - this will at least allow the user to select their filters and then click the refresh or 'generate' button.
