ION triggers an event when workflow starts manually, but not when a po is created in syteline.

We have defined a workflow in ION to send an approval to the user. An E-mail triggers when a workflow starts manually from Mingle. Now when a new PO is created in syteline ION should trigger an email to the user for approval, But it doesn't happens. we are able to view the PO in one view.

We are on on-premise

Infor OS version 12.0.32.65

Syteline(Infor Cloudsuite Industrial ) version is : 9.01

We have defined dataflow and connection points and an email template.

See the section on ways to start a workflow in ION documentation: https://docs.infor.com/ion/2021.x/en-us/iondeskceug_cloud_osm/default.html (This is the Cloud edition; you need to check the similar section for On-prem; But it would be comparable).

Looks like what you need is to define an 'Activation policy' for the PO. And then start the workflow via that option. Check if the standard ION content pack from Syteline has a flow definition available first as the use case looks fairly straight forward.

If there are no events, I would check the 'Conditions' defined; In any case, what you are trying to do sounds like a straight forward scenario. So if it doesn't work, one would need to review the configuration of Activation policy/ Workflow and match it also with the contents of the Sync.PO xml, Check if the event is triggered in the Oneview timeline etc.

You have two conditions however only using one. If you mean to OR them, you need to add that condition.

Can you provide a redacted version of the XML that is not triggering on this process? Or at least the Reason segment.

What does the trigger history show? go to Active Activation Policies, find the Activation Policy,.

How many documents have been evaluated (documents Processed)?

Drill into the Triggers view of the Policy (select Triggers from the menu bar after selecting the policy).

You can then see all the specific workflow instances and the data they were invoked with.

Is the data there as expected?

There are many other drill into inquiries that you can use in Monitors and Workflows.
