Scripted source validates but shows error

Hi all,

I'm very new to Birst and have a lot of questions. Here's the first one.

I have a scripted source that shows that there is an error (see picture), but when I edit the source it validates just fine. How can I tell what this error is?

I've not found any documentation on this so I'm hoping to find some help from the experts!

First, welcome to Birst community. Second, we highly recommend if your company purchased Infor Campus credits to take advantage of the Birst Foundational courses for Administration and Visualization. These courses will provide a lot of answers to your questions.

For this specific question, usually if there is an error with the script, you'll see a yellow triangle next to the script name. Did you receive the error after running a Publish? Please provide the SELECT, Script, and Output. Please copy and past the text for SELECT and Script in order to be readable than a screenshot. A screenshot of Output is OK.

If you show the details of the script it may be easier to help diagnose the issue. When you're validating, you want to make sure that both the select and script sections (top and bottom windows) validate successfully. One thing you can do is publish the script, and after publishing fails click on the publish icon in the top right of your screen, and it will tell you the details of why your last publishing failed which will often point out the issue in your script

Thanks for jumping on this so quickly but I solved my own mystery. The error I am referring to in the image is nothing more than another publishing group that our Birst dev team set up. Why they called it Error is beyond me. Sorry for the false alarm!
