ION API Flow - Filter Node example

Hi All,

Been trying to make ION API Flow Filter node work but the examples in the docs and the note in the expression tab all don't work. Does anyone have an example of an API Flow with working filter node?

In addition whenever I do changes and try to reactivate I get an error so I change the endpoint path in order to publish it. The problem is that the metadata in ION API Flows are now increasing with no way of deleting them.

@dm9346 , As a logical flow - The way you have defined the filter step looks correct to me; But I don't have the knowledge of M3 response to analyze and suggest the correct expression. Is the CUNO field that you are trying to extract just a string? Or is it a number? I am wondering if the empty value should be represented by having a space between the quotes and if that might make a difference. So use ' ' instead of ''. Please try that.

Hi I think a few of us are having the same issues. There is another recent thread on this topic about how to specify the output and issues about specifying the path and accessing the output for subsequent calls. Hoping for some help also. We are also seeing the same problem about re-activation and have opened an incident for this. It looks like a recent change (removal of the api step path option) maybe is related to this.

This now works.

I think what makes this hard for us is the inconsistency of the expression sample and the documentation and also the lack of real examples for this functionality.

Awesome, thanks for the confirmation. I see that the correct expression in your case is "==null"; Also I see the syntax inconsistencies. I will have these corrected.

One additional request: Can you please export and attach your API flow, so that it can help others looking to use a filter step in their flow? (Please scrub any business specific data that may be used in parameter or conditions).

On a related note, I am working on a similar initiative to build some sample flows and share with the larger community here as well.

Here is the sample. This is just a basic checking if the customer exists.

Where can we get updates when the sample flows get released? I'd like to be notified with that as well as I think that will be really useful.
