Hiding Viewing X out of X open tasks

The title is pretty self explanatory. Whenever I filter a Task or Alert widget on my home pages a banner displays at the top stating Viewing X out of X open tasks. My users don't really care about this information and it blocks information behind it. Is there a way to disable this banner?

First, the answer to the question: No, its not possible to disable this banner as far as I know.

Having said that, I don't have the "it blocks information behind it" experience. I see the banner "Older" when no search is used;

And when I use a filter, the count of search results is showed on the place where it showed "Older" previously.

So I am unable to understand the inconvenience caused here. In any case, we have the 'Inbox' application which is the main interface to deal with your tasks, alers and notifications - which has a clean interface to search/ view your action list.

Thanks for the answer. I still think the "Today" / "Older" headers are relevant information that shouldn't be hidden. Certainly the inbox is cleaner but we want users to see two separate lists of tasks filtered by category.
