Application Studio version compatibility caused by different MT cloud update calendar

This is for developers across different MT cloud environments.

We have one customer on eu1 and another on eu3.

eu1 updates around the 7th of the month and eu3 updates around the 19th of the month.

to use Application Studio client requires the latest compatible version with the current cloud instance.

this means that for 12 days I can't do any App Studio development for an eu3 client because I can't flip flop between versions.

Is this a real restriction or just a setting?

It would be good if we could be one release behind as this would allow eu3 to be worked on, even though eu1 had been updated.

I know this won't affect many people, but it must be or will become an issue for Infor developers at some point.

Your situation is atypical e.g. a client would not experience it. My personal solution is to run the older versions on an otherwise semi redundant machine that I can remote desktop onto.

Yes, it's by design and is a hassle; it only impacts Infor Consultants / Partners and has workarounds though (so has a low priority for resolution). I've successfully worked around it in the past by having different versions installed on my laptop and a local VM (or a Remote Desktop connection to server having the different version installed).
