Business Context Attributes on the Document Type Setup Screen

What does the "Business Context Attributes" section of the Document Type setup screen do? And how is this setup different from mapping the published M3 Workspace Entity ids to IDM Document Type Attributes in the Business Context Model setup?

You use it to select other attributes that are available in the messages for the business context.  The little blue "i" will tell you if you hover the mouse over it.  This differs from he mapping, I think, in that you have to do this FIRST before the mapping to the context models.
