How to install the service grid_InforTechStackGrid, this is missing in the server and grid is not starting.
Could not find any clue in Infor guides or in KB's
There could be a zillion reasons for this. You first investigate the installation log for root cause. Then you double check the prerequisites. Especially the certificate! Finally after resolving every possible root cause you uninstall, reboot and run the installer again.
You need to run the prerequisites checker before proceeding to perform the install. make sure that there are no errors in the output file.
Just to add, installation is sucessful and Infor OS running fine for 3 weeks, suddenly the service went missing after couple of reboots.
If re-install is the solution then it is going to be a problem, there should be procedure to re-install service alone.
If the service is missing after some time the problem must be reported to Windows Admin at customer. They must roll back the backup and resolve this. Typically a virusscanner can remove services they found suspectable. This is not your problem! And we have never repaired a the windows service. But you could do that based on one of the other servers manually. You could create a support incident to ask for help repairing it. As said first call the windows administrator.
It would be extremely odd for the actual service to be removed, is the service still present but just wont run due to the executable missing? It should be something similar like below,
D:Program FilesInforOSInforTechStackGridesourcesamd64service-wrapper-2.0.0.1-amd64.exe
If a virus program quarantined the file then restoring it should resolve the issue and then make exceptions in virus application so it doesn't reoccur. There is no way to reconfigure the Grid service without reinstallation.
The file is not missing. It is still there. Need to figure out how to install service sucessfully to run with "NT Servicexxxx"
