Drillable slices are already available - albeit with some limitations. If you don't want the feature say no to drillable when you create the slice as App Studio expends extra effort in preparing it to be drillable.

Sandra, it might be a good topic for our next community call - we should send agenda soon and we definitely will have enough time for Q&A to discuss questions like that!

In general, we definitely focus on bringing more features with slices - some great and significant improvements have already brought here and we are continue improving it. For instance, future ad-hoc is being built utilising and improving slices.

At the same time - we do not have plans removing classic hyperblocks, so no need to rebuilt reports that work today with v.12.
