Could not find '' element in response

I wanted to try to transfer an existing model with version 4 of AppEngine OLAP to Relational Modeling.

Unfortunately, it aborts on the 4 dimension with the error message Could not find '<Alea:PickList>' element in response.
Has anyone seen this as well and knows what to do or what the problem could be?

Hi,

what exactly are you doing? You have an AppEngine process written for v11 (EngineVersion 4) that you're running on v12?
Which function(s) is causing the error?

We have migrated a version 11 DB and loaded it in the version.

Now we would like to read out the OLAP DB directly from version 12 and transfer it to staging and if possible also have the object definitions created.

The error occurs when reading out a dimension "Version".

you will find that your issue is because when you first copied the databases over to V12 - your subset definition files have been reset to blank. To fix this, i would recommend the following:

1. backup your V12 database, and then shut it down

2. in the inforcentraldb#databasenameiterative_number - make a copy of this folder (belt and braces approach)

3. take another backup of your V11 database

4. copy the SST files from V11 into the inforcentraldb#databasenameiterative_number - this will recopy the subset definitions

5. restart the V12 database.

Your subsets will now be working correctly, and you can run the extract process and not get the picklist error. If you have subset driven rules- check that these are working correctly and are surfaced in the rules editor.

I have copied the subsets again and they are now visible in the database and in the Application Studio.

But unfortunately I still get the same error message in the Application Engine. But it must be related to the subsets, because the error occurs exactly on a dimension that contains subset

have you opened the sst file for the missing subset? - maybe it was like that in V11?

We checked in a call together now - apparently there was an empty subset in the dimension, and AppEngine did not like that. We deleted it and then it worked
