[Release Highlights] December 2022 - Infor OS ION

The following describes the new release highlight for users of Infor OS ION:

AnySQL Query Editor: The new SQL editor can design documents by writing SQL queries. It supports both MS SQL and Oracle databases and provides possibility to convert AnySQL modeler to AnySQL editor. It is possible to define an incremental key for incremental load. SQL keywords auto populate when user starts writing query.

SQL editor is a compliment to existing Modeler UI experience. it supports complex query scenarios which otherwise not possible in Modeler UI, for example: Sub queries, Union, Aggregate queries, Analytical queries, SQL Functions, etc.

Few features in editor to notice are:

Detect keywords as you type.
highlights the Keywords, function.
IQE_INCREMENTAL function to support incremental loads.

in your case, query editor support select * from <<object>>, if the requirement is to get all the column names then start from molder UI and convert to editor.

Can we expect support for PostgreSQL for the new AnySQL Query Editor?

The existing SQL editor is designed to support MS SQL and Oracle databases. Indeed PostgreSQL is in our backlog list.

I would check to see if anyone has posted an Enhancement Request (https://ers.infor.com/ERS ). If not then add an ER. If they have, then endorse it and encourage others to endorse it as well.
