Has anyone had issues where the total values in FSM don't equal what you would expect in Birst? For instance, the inventory valuation report. Our total inventory value in FSM didn't match the total inventory value in Birst. We found out it was due to 2 main issues.
Wrong script variable in Birst - 2 period 11's instead of period 11 and 12.
Possible decimal place issue in the Data Lake/ION where FSM is using 4 decimal places and Data Lake/ION using 2 decimal places which is causing price discrepancies.
Just want to get an overall feel for peoples experiences with Birst. Can you trust the data or do you use FSM as your true source? Have others experienced similar issues with other reports and if so which ones?
If you don't use Birst, what reporting tools do you use for Supply Chain management? Out of Box? Create reports in FSM? How do you create KPI's, dashboards, etc. without Birst?
We are just getting started using Birst, but have only experienced issues so far with the data it is pulling from the data lake not matching FSM. It seems like an overly complicated, non-intuitive tool that has proved unreliable so far for us.
Thanks in advance for your feedback and advice.
