Is it possible to have a hyperlink on a Mongoose Form Report?

Is it possible to have a hyperlink on a Mongoose Form Report? (v10) There is a hyperlink component control, but we have had no success binding it on the report. Placing the URL text in a label will display as a clickable URL when rendered as a PDF, but its not ideal. If the URL word-wraps, it cuts off the anything after the first line.

We add the URL as a static field on Report Viewers and it is clickable when we print. Our Default format is PDF though, what format are you trying to print that its not clickable?

No, we are doing the same thing with a static but if the URL is very long and it spills across onto another line, then when you click on it, only the portion from the first line is sent to the browser.

Idealy we would like to use the Hyperlink component so it renders as an html <a> link. Thus you could have the link text be a short word and the href be the long URL that would not display on the report.

This is so simple to do in SSRS.

Okay that makes sense now. I was able to do this by using a Static field, In the component properties under Report change Interpet HTML Tags to true. Then in the Caption or static string enter your HTML. Then when the report prints it is clickable.

So a static link like that is cool, but how would you go about data binding?

Our URL link needs to change based on each row of data.

Do we have to drop back into formscript and update the caption property while iterating through the IDO collection perhaps? A better way?

For anyone else reading this.

Found out today this Interpret HTML Tags property is a newer feature not available to us in our version of v10.0.0.472
