Currency translation in Infor d/EPM Budgeting and Planning v2023.01 - Infor d/EPM Business Applicati

Hi there

My customer has enquired about multi currency functionality with rates tables and currency translation in standard d/EPM Budgeting & Planning using the Infor d/EPM Business Applications - Designer application. I explained that this functionality is available if they purchase Financial Consolidation, but is it at all possible for me to build the same logic around currency in Budgeting & Planning?

Hi Ayesha - not sure about EPM designer application version. Currently have worked with Cloud EPM BnP versions with Business Modeller. 

The standard exchange setup within EPM BnP does caters for multiple currency translations and cross rates so you can see values translated from "local" into group currency and other currencies.

Each account line will need to have exchange method assigned, eg average or closing etc. Then within the Business Application menu area of BnP - there are menu options for Currency. This is where you link the version to rate sets, ensure all currencies are activated and can update the exchange rates. its worth noting that for any configuration set/cycle that all entities have their currency setup, as you update for exchange rates by configurationset/cycle. Under Exchange -- two main areas -- currency configuration and then Exchange rate data entry
