Deployment Form - What happened to the Create Scripts button?

The Deployment form has changed. I'm not sure how to create a Deployment package now.

I open the Deployment form and select "Export using forms, selected items and referenced items". There used to be a button titled "Create Scripts". That button is no longer available. Instead, there is a dropdown titled "Extension Bundle Name". This dropdown is empty. I enter a value in the dropdown. And click the Add to Bundle button. I get an error message saying "not a valid Bundle Name".

It appears there is no way to build a Deployment package now. Does anyone know how to create a Deployment Package now?

There has been an enhancement to the deployment form to be able to bundle up your deployment packages for reuse.

First click on View Bundle

Then save a new entry in this form after setting a name and description.

Now go to Export using forms and do your usual process of setting a filter and includes.

Click on the Extension bundle dropdown and you should see the bundle you saved earlier.

Click Add to Bundle then View Bundle. Your bundle should now list all the objects for deployment and you can reuse this bundle for next time.

Click generate then download to export.

Thanks. The old way was really simple to use. But I guess we'll get use to this way.

@yao - I was able to create a Deployment Package. But when I go to PRD to import the Deployment Package the Import button is grayed out. Before, I was able to click the Import button and select my file.

Can you tell me how to import a Deployment Package in production?

There is a ticket on the queue to resolve this.

In the meantime, the workaround is add an editbox to the form and bind it to variable.FarmEnableExtensionBundle and set it to 0 upon form load.

How soon is this going to be resolved? Is it going to be days or months?

Are you saying the workaround is modifying the Deployment form in our PRD environment? Do we even have the ability to modify forms in production? I'm not sure what your telling me the workaround is.
