Hello
Can anyone advice how the IDM ACL role identify the user's role while they search the document in the IDM?
I don't understand the question? The user has roles inherited from IFS and IDM relies on these roles and what is defined at the document type level to grant or deny access
We have requirement restrict contract document based on classification to specific set of people.
Example:
Contract: 123
Classification: ABC
Contract: 456
Classification: XYZ
User 1: can access only contract document belongs to ABC
User 2: can access only contract document belongs to XYZ
We are looking possibility way to achieve linking the classification group & document type to user.
If you have any other advice please let me know
As Denis indicated, you have a lot of options for Security, and they're all based on the Role(s) you assign to the specific Document Type.
What authority each Role gets for what Document Type is completely configurable as per above.
This will not solve the issue. As buyer generates the IDM output from Infor (not context attachment) and it assigned to document type to "Contract Document". With my above scenario, all the contracts documents link to same document type so everyone can see each other contracts. Instead users should can view only their respective contracts.
With the ACL rule it wont help, am i missing anything?
