LPL - Invoking a list from a Form

Can a list be invoked from an ActionForm? If so, can it be done via a button?

I would like to invoke the list LRCEducationsForPositionSummary below from the ActionForm RequestPositionUpdate, hopefully via a button. Is that achievable? I'm open to other options.

The purpose for this is to allow the user to add or remove Education(s).

Business Class: Position Education

List: LRCEducationsForPositionSummary

Business Class: Position

Action Form: RequestPositionUpdate

Linking to somewhere from an ActionForm is tricky. You can techically put a FormButton on an ActionForm.

However, navigating away from the ActionForm modal dialogue with unsaved changes is cluncky. And either way, no changes or unsaved changes a nav away with a browser back won't retain your modal being open.

If there is an Education field with a select on this form already then that select list could/should call out the Create action. This will allow users to easily add Educations if they are not found in the select list. This should handle opening a new tab for you. To remove, there is an Edit mode in selects to allow for "data maintenance" if needed.

I try to place an Education object on the form but don't see the "Select option" nor the "Edit mode" that you're referring to. Is it possible to do a little demo?

Yeah, I see the confusion. I tracked this path down and I don't think there is a select field/option for what you need. I think one option here is on the screen or screens before the RequestPositionUpdate action is called we could give the opportunity to fine/see the Education items that exist, or not, and allow add/review there first. So, essentially offer the review before getting as far as the action form.
