Resource(Employee) Count field for Job Business Class

We are trying to get a Resource count(not work assignment) in the Job business class. I have attempted this through a relation to Employee(not ideal), and a user field. The results either match the work assignment count, or come up as 1. We have employees who have multiple work assignments with the same job, so this doesn't give us accurate resource counts. If anyone has successfully done something like this, any help will be appreciated.

sounds like you're on the right track but there are times we have to export our data and then work the rest of it within Excel. So for your example you could pull the resource counts into a csv file and then use Excel to remove the duplicate employee records to leave single records. hopefully it's on track with what you're trying to achieve.

I have done that, but the user the report is for would not be able to work the data this way. They requested an "at a glance" type solution. Thanks for the suggestion!

You can use below syntax to get the count.

instance count of <UserRel>

Sorry, just seeing this. We tried creating a user relation to Employee and getting the counts, but it still counts the work assignments, likely due to being unable to do a DISTINCT count like in SQL. Ex. If an Employee has 2 work assignments with the same Job, the employee is counted twice.
