Custom column in inherited source

Hello,

Does anybody know how to use formulas when adding manually a column in an inherited source? I have created an inherited source from a Dimension Level; the system autogenerates a hierarchy; the hierarchy is visible in Visualizer and inherited columns (attributes) can be added to the report. On the other hand, if I add a column (again attribute) to the new source (from Modeler Relate, Edit Column Properties), such a column is visible in Visualizer, but when I try to add it to the report I get an error:

"Data is unavailable to satisfy a query."

I have tried to play with the column formula with no avail.

Did you add it to the original dimension that you inherited? Or did you try to add it to the inherited source. If you added it to the original dimension then published the data, it should be available as an attribute in the inherited source as well.

I was trying to add it to the inherited source, not to the original one. I have actually been able to see something after some further insistence, although couldn't produce anything meaningful.

Another functionality that looks interesting but I couldn't make to work, nor did I find any guide about, is that of "compound tables" in inherited sources. Do you have any experience with it?

I have only used compound tables with live-access sources. Have you published since adding the columns to the inherited source?

I did publish, yes. If I just put a fixed numeric value as a Formula, like 1, then all works fine. But I couldn't figure out how to use values coming from other columns yet.
