Updating Syteline after Mingle Task Completed

Hi Everyone,

I have a newbie question for you! I am looking at creating a workflow that will trigger a Mingle task from Syteline. I know how to generate the BOD from Syteline and process it into a Mingle task. After the task is completed in Mingle, what is the best way to update a corresponding record in Syteline? Does a Sync BOD generate back to SL after the task is completed, or should we update Syteline via the ION API?

Does anyone have a screenshot of a simple event that accomplishes this that they could share?

Hey Ryan,

Usually, the way how you trigger an workflow (WF) also defines how the response is provided back to the source application. If you started a workflow via a Sync BOD from Syteline, it most likely implies that you defined an activation policy (AP). When the workflow is completed, Syteline will automatically receive a Process.<business object> BOD delivered by ION. Syteline can handle this BOD and perform the transactions and close the loop. For example, lets assume, your business object is a Sales Order. The flow would look something like this: Syteline -> Sync.SalesOrder -> (Activation Policy) -> Workflow -> Process.SalesOrder -> Syteline.
