How do we setup the preview of reports in CSI v.10?
We are installing CSI v.10 and assuming the reports are printed/previewed using SSRS.
Thanks in advance.
The reports that come with CSI 10 are all Mongoose reports now, SSRS still works for custom reports but is not supported.
Thanks!
Is there something special we need to do to get reports to .pdf? Getting "The report creation failed" on the Report Viewer.
"The report creation falied" message usually mean there is a coding problem with the report itself. The pdf file was never generated.
Does it work as Super User? If so, then make sure you have rights to the Report Viewer forms. Do you have your Intranet form configured with the TaskMan Path as to where to write the PDF files?
Can also look in BGTaskHistory to get more details on the error that occurred.
Yes, we have TaskMan paths and the .pdfs are being written to the output folders, however now we can't preview.
Is your Report Preview URL setup correctly?
Open IIS Manager - > Default Website. Create a new virtual directory called "CSI" and point it to C:Program FilesInforCSI
In Syteline - Intranets form - Report Preview URL = http://yourservername/CSI
Intranets - Reporting Tab
The Report Preview URL is on the General tab
Intranets - General Tab.
the error
Error: Invalid report URI format.
C:Program FilesInforCSIReportOutputFilessaPreviewOrderStatusReportViewer_DALS_22.pdf
https://syteline/reportpreview

\SYTELINEsyteline
Do as @Ryan P suggest and put http://yourservername/CSI for the Report Preview URL.
Then in IIS map a virtual directory.
We're all set! Thanks everyone!
Can you elaborate steps how you resolved the issue?
The last step was to modify the Intranets page with c:eports as you suggested. I'm not even sure why it worked after that change. (Apologize for the late response, I was on vacation)
So we're having issues again after a Windows update and a couple restarts of the server. We added permissions and changed the Report Server account to Service Account. Still, we get the below error. The file gets created however it doesn't come up in the browser. And ideas?
404 - File or directory not found.
