Create Custom Drillback?

Hi,

I am wondering if its possible to create a custom drillback for Syteline? For example, I added a workflow for an item BOD. I used the infor.syteline.ItemView on my workflow and pointed objects from the BOD into the Drillback parameters and it works fine. But now, I have a BOD that contains a Job Order # and would like to use a drtillback to open the SL Job Orders form, filtered on that job order number. There is no Job Order view. How can I create that drillback view? I understand the parameters that are required but I am not sure of the format of the XML file that needs to uploaded.

It should be possible.  The potential gotcha is that although you can upload a drillback file, I've never found a way to remove one.  Hopefully the answer is that uploads of the same name, overwrite anything previous. 

As you say the standard drillbacks for Syteline are rather limited.  You could try uploading your own XML file.  Whoever installed your environment should still have the file (SyteLineMingleDrillbackViewData.xml).  If not, you can download one from the Product Centre.  The Header row looks like this:

I think you'd want a different name to be safe (hence in bold)

A Job Orders view would indeed be useful.  The potentially tricky bit is that the url template only gives you one parameter, for instance from the BillToPartyView:

As you know Syteline Jobs are only fully defined by both JobNum and Suffix.  But you could try using Rowpointer as a unique identifier if it exists in your BOD AND it's bound to a form component (hidden will do).
