How do I create a KPI which shows the average Shipment value of the Columns (dates)

Does the KP you are showing in the screenshot have properties like the below example? Can you post your definition of the KPI and measure (if it is an expression)?

Yes Here is the KPI

This expression gives me the daily totals [ship_date: Sum: shipment_value] as a column on a report.

Another question as the initial screenshot does not show it. Do you have a filter on the bar chart as well as the KPI to supply date range?

The Dashboard is not filtered but the visualizer report is filtered to values from the Trailing 12 months.

Would a dimensional expression work?

For example,

[ship_date: Sum: shipment_value]{@[Time.Months Ago]<=12}
