Context Messaging in OS Portal

We've got a couple of in-house developed context apps that have been working fine in Ming.le. In the new OS Portal, these apps are no longer receiving the context messages. Can anyone point me to information about what may have changed with context messaging from Ming.le to OS Portal?

I'm assuming it's going to have something to do with the way these apps are registering to receive messages, but I'm not sure where to begin.

Hello Aaron - How were your in-house apps developed? What coding language and where are they hosted? We recently did a development project converting a context app, hosted in IIS. This was converted to nodejs. Infor has a github for the Widget SDK below. There are no longer Context Apps with OS Portal, just widgets.

Hey Brandon, thanks for the quick response. The existing apps were some hosted apps on IIS using some .Net code on the server side and javascript on the client side handling the business context messages. I believe the link to the Widget SDK is giving me the kick start I needed. Going to be a bit more of a project then I had hoped for, but it's going to have to be done! Thank!

That is the same exact transition we helped a Vendor with. Feel free to reach out if you need any help or guidance.

If the app is not too complicated you could always try app builder and/or Mongoose as well.

Please provide us with the code that handles the subscription of the context messages so we can take a look and see if there's any problem there.

Just as a final follow up, I wanted to thank you again for pointing me to the SDK. I wasn't super familiar with the Angular framework, so I did have to sort of learn it from the ground up, but I was able to successfully recode all of my context apps as Widgets using the SDK, and all three are successfully deployed in the OS Portal now, working better then ever!
