Self-Service: Manual sorting of elements in rows

Hi,

Is it possible to sort elements in rows in Self-Services? Not only in alphabetical order but also in individual order by drag and drop.

I have different KPI’s defined and I want to build self-services-reports where these elements are sorted in different ways, depending on each report. I don’t’ have found such a functionality.

There is a solution, albeit not elegant.

Self Service basically wants to display things in hierarchical order with the top element first then say children in definition order.

Workaround for say columns - based on samples:

Drag value type to columns and select the single element Budget.
Drag another dimension - say channel - to columns.
Click Add Selection and Add All Channels, Actual
Click Add Selection again and Add All Channels, Variance
Remove Channel from columns
Result

The default would have been:

You basically select things in the display order you want.

Hi Siggi, this is a functionality of the new ad-hoc self-service widget which we released in October, however it is currently (till April 2024) requires additional activation. The activation is pretty simple - create new Custom Setting within the application you want to work with. The custom setting name is "adhoc_enable". The value should be "true". After that - log out, log in and the new ad-hoc is available within the selected application under the "toolbox" menu.

Hi Nick.

We are running the customers application on MT Cloud (TRN instance). Even after logging off and back on, the Adhoc Report option doesn't appear in the Toolbox tab. Is there any reason that this could be happening? or anyone else on the community experiencing a similar behaviour?

Bilal, did you do the custom setting configuration that we require? Also, was it the right application chosen in the drop down box (in my screen above you can see the application "Samples" was chosen and that's where the ad-hoc report will be visible)

Yes i did the custom config in the correct application. I have logged the issue on xtreme this afternoon. (incident18223818). Waiting for the call to be picked up.
