Exclude an element out of a DataArea

Hello everyone, 

is there any way to exclude a specific element from a DataArea? 

For example we want to copy data from a source to a target. 

The DataArea should include everything except one specific year?

Is there any way to do that in Application Engine?

Yes you can. You can pass in a string list of elements. When you build the list just don't add the specific year to the list. This old code snippet may help. It shows various option to select elements:
