Webextension Rich Text Editor printing

Has anyone been able to use "Rich Text Editor" trusted webextension (version 2.0.3) and been able to print the formatted text? The webextension shows up fine in the web and allows you to format the text as you want it. However when you print the report as PDF or PPT, it won't display the contents but instead a message "The web extension xxx could not be printed because web extensions printing is not supported in this environment?"

I made sure the setting "Print Object" is enabled in availability ta of Format Web Extension.

Is there a setting I'm missing? Or is printing of a webextension not possible?

Not sure why printing wouldn't be enabled, it really limits the effectiveness of allowing users to have a rich text editor.

I don't believe it is possible to print/export the rich text. An enhancement request was raised years ago on this, not that I can find it now. Perhaps raise an enhancement request yourself.

Hi Jim, the WebExtension is printable, but only in OnPremise Environments, not yet in MT Cloud. Kr, Peter

That is really unfortunate. It's such a basic thing that would enhance the user experience.

Hi, I've just tested it on our on-prem systems and I always get "The web extension xxx could not be printed because web extensions printing is not supported in this environment" for a pdf export.

Webextension is set to printable and I'm on 2024/04 release. Are there other settings which need to be done or should it work just as is ?
