How to Automate Dataview Report - Syteline 9.00.20

I was curious if anyone has found a way to automate a dataview report in Syteline 9.00.20, please? I'm trying to keep all of my new reports as dataviews as we're in the process of uplifting to Syteline 10 (on-prem). Here's how my dataview is setup:

I have a custom SP that populates a SQL table with the records the dataview will use
I've built a custom form which passes values from the form to the SP and to the dataview
When trying to setup an Event Handler, "RunBackgroundQueue", I cannot setup this report to run as a background task.

So, if anyone has suggestions, I will greatly appreciate it. If not, would the next best thing to be is setting up an SSRS report (even though it's against my goal of sticking with dataviews)?

I'm not sure if its different in version 10 but to get a dataview to run as a background task we have to add it to the Background Task Definitions form and then call that TaskName.

We also run the dataview from a Criteria form so an user is able to go the Actions menu and setup the Background Queue.

Ok thank you for your help!! You're right though, Syteline 9.00.20 doesn't have this functionality, but it's good to know Syteline 10 does and I can setup my dataview report once we uplift.

The other barrier is that in v9.00.20 Dataviews can only be built from IDO Collections. The ability to build a Dataview from an IDO Method (i.e. a Stored Procedure) didn't appear until v9.01. At least if you're staying On Prem you'll still be able to use SQL code.
