Send data via ION API POST in Mongoose Formscript

Hi,

I am in MT Cloud environment, and I am trying to get POST ION API to work.

I have this function:

But it ends with this error:

When I testing it in Postman, it is working fine. Also when I test it in .NET application outside Infor MT Cloud, it is also working fine. But in Mongoose FormScript I am getting this error above.

Please can anyone help about that?

In Mongoose you should call the built in IONAPIMethod method to make ION API Calls.

Yes I know about that, and I use this approach for lot of APIs, but the crucial one, which our application need, is this one:

But there is some issue and these POST APIs doesn't work from Mongoose. I am discussing this with Infor Helpdesk for more then half a year, but for now without any success.

So now in my desperation, I am searching for other possible ways how to send data from Mongoose to SunSystems.

If you're familiar enough with javascript you could add a web user control to the form backed by some javascript code that would make the API call for you.

My Javascript knowledge is very little. But please is there any tutorial, or at least some "Hello World" example, how to add Javascript into Mongoose FormScript?

What are the errors you can encountering with the IONAPIMethod?

I've seen this before when making web service calls. There are some functions that Infor forbids from running in the cloud. I had working examples of being able to run web service calls from the front end form script, but they no longer work. I get the same error you list above. It would appear that they have tightened the security on the front end and now no longer allow HTTPClient calls to execute from form script.

However, you can put all of that code into a custom assembly and execute it as a method call. That works perfectly, I do that all the time. You still do have to be mindful of some of your references/using statements, as that will cause the same error if you run this as a custom assembly. You are not allowed to include "using System.Security.Cryptography.X509Certificates;". I've had lots of System.Security and System.Net.Security functions blocked. I am allowed to force my web service calls to run TLS1.2, but I'm unable to check SSL certs, or do just about anything else I've tried from the Security library.

If possible can you share your extension class source code using HttpClient. I am using below code to get response but as I am using async and await I am not seeing any response.
