Consuming API response in DataFlow

Hi All,

I am Developing a DataFlow, requirement of which demands me to read/consume the API response inside the DataFlow in a custom BOD, to have a decision branch further.

The API response is below:

I need to consume this inside a DataFlow in a custom BOD, but the Flow goes directly in error.

Is there any way to byPass it and consume this particular response inside the DataFlow in a custom BOD.

Please help me out with this.

Hi Khan

In this case, we usually create a custom api suite to call the provision api endpoint using oauth2.0 (create the authorised apps and service account). Then you can add the policy in the custom api suite. Yes a bit of work here.

If you think calling api flow works then you may go that path..

Hi Khan,

You can try using an API flow to call your API and return a response containing the 400 error. Then call the API flow from your Data Flow.
Another option is a call a Workflow from a Document flow. The Workflow has an API step as well.

You can translate the 404 error to 204 via IONAPI policy FaultHandling, then API Gateway will not generate confirm BOD.

But maybe it won't work in my case, as I am using a "Infor-Provisioned" API, where I am unable to add any policies.

I don't see any provision to add suite policies or Response policies.

Is there any other way to get around ?

How do I feed data to API flow from the incoming BOD in the DataFlow?

in API flow, it still just gives 400 response as Error, I don't see a way to consume this or use this in the DataFlow, how can I get around it?
