Why dataview preview is navigating to dataview inputs form for blank range of inputs on cretiria.
There is a parameter named DataViewPromptForInputs that is set to 0 to suppress the parameters prompts when the criteria is blank. Search for "Creating a button to preview a report" In the help for an explanation.
