IDM printing M3 picking lists - missing pages

Hi, I am wondering if any of this sounds familiar here?

We are printing picking lists via IDM and Enterprise Print. As you may know sometimes larger number of PL's are created automatically by M3 causing multiple PL's being printed with varying number of pages. What is causing issues is that some prints get cut off, so for a 7 page print only pages 1-4 print and then a blank page gets emitted. Sometimes also prints seem to fully disappear.

Does any of you have familiar experiences and possibly a solution for this issue?

yes, we also had the same issue with the packing list. As a fix, we have included a delay between packing list jobs and then worked. We were able to do this because we were using ION ION-based custom solution to generate the packing list instead of the direct print.

Have set up a different driver for the printer, hoping that will solve the issue. Not overly hopefull though. May come back to you Prabodha to see how you introduced that delay.

1) Is it only isolated to Picking List?

2) Verify your Print Application heap space, default will be 512 and it is recommended to increased this to 2048 for large batch printing

Source: Happened to us on a different print file that is mostly printed in batches (minimum 300 pages) - we noticed that it produced blanks and missing pages starting with Enterprise Connector 2024.06

Hi ARK,

1. Yes, this seems isolated to Picking list or better said, have not gotten other reports. Since most important prints go through PDF & email nowadays I guess that also makes a difference.

2. Are working on the memory situation next.

3. Will verify enterprise connector version.

Once I know more will come back to report.

agree with this! We had a similar problem with one output on one printer, but increasing the heap space seems to have fixed it.
