LPL customization - ConfigurationTag, Export / Import Tutorial

Can anyone direct me to any tutorial that shows in Mingle how to Tag configuration (LPL customizations....fields, forms, actions, relations ) for exporting and importing to another environment?

I have not had a need to move so many customizations where the few that I've done are always done manually. So. I am out of practice.

Any quick write ups will also help as well.

Created a Tag, then Bundle (same name as Tag) and then Snapshot where you can export/import

Glad you are curious here Patrick.

Infor's preferred methodology for developing, testing, and promoting LPL configuration changes is working first in a non-prod tenant, tagging/bundling/snapshot those changes and then Import snapshots in your target tenant(s), Validate, then if successful, Apply. Balance that against "development" of singleton, incremental changes/updates in production. Each change has a potential to invalidate dependent configurations unless you are very very careful. Each change also clears your configuration cache in every host jvm (there are actually 50-70+ jvms).

Early next year build on this by leveraging bundles in Configuration Management via Self-Service Portal, thus making movement of snapshots across tenants much easier. So no more manual sftp steps. #sdlc #cicd
