Financial Reporting Application - how to activate?

Hi all,

i am trying to try-out the new Financial reporting application - but cannot gain access to it either on-premise or through SAAS.

EPM Business Applications is enabled on both envrionments, but there is no option in Activate modules for Financial reporting Application (only B&P, consolidation, workforce budgeting)

There is no separate application called FRAPP Financial Reporting Applications either.

If you have an on-premise installation - the bi application is stored in the program filesinfor oolsFinancial Reporting Application folder. so it can be installed from Applications.

there is also KB article with some report templates - KB3523883 - Installation and Management of Report Template Packages for Financial Reporting Application

for cloud saas or GDE environments - i imagine a call with cloud support to get them to install it?

I made a request to Infor Support a week ago to get it in Cloud, but it seems that it is currently not possible to deploy it on the cloud. Can someone confirm?

FRAPP is not currently Generally Available (GA) in the MT Cloud environments. This staged release approach is typically done for the following reasons:

Testing and Bug Fixing: To identify and fix bugs to help ensure the final product is as error-free as possible.
User Feedback: Beta testing to allow real users to provide feedback on the product’s functionality, usability,and performance.
Performance and Scalability: To help test the product under different conditions and loads.
Documentation and Support: Comprehensive documentation and support resources are being prepared.

This is the process for getting it provisioned on a given tenant:

The GPS consultant, sales person or customer/Infor opens a Support Incident requesting FRAPP
Support sends a request to Product Management.
<several internal steps following PM approval>
Support informs the customer that the app is now available.
As validation that the app is now available:
- The Financial Reporting icon should be available in Ming.le.
- Clicking the icon opens the BI/EPM web UI with the Financial Reporting welcome page.

If you want it to be provisioned on a given tenant, the the best approach is to provide in the request to Support convincing arguments/promises how granting early access will help address items 1-4, whilst mitigating associated risks. Bear in mind that It's likely that the capacity to provision for early adopters is limited.
