Attach or merge a pdf to an output report

Hello. Do you know if it is possible to add a pdf from the attached documents to a report generated by SL (version 9.01)? I know you can attach both files with event system to send an email with them, but I need the pdf generated by the background task include the pages of the "external" pdf.

Hello,

in taskpostperform do the following and send to CUSTOM ASSEMBLY

1) In CA, Recieve the report binary from AES or grab the binary from logical folder using the report name.

2) In CA, grab the binary of 2nd pdf from document objects or IDM or logical folder etc.

3) in CA, Send the 2 binary to IDM and merge (there's an API for IDM to combine PDF)

4) In CA, get the results of merged PDF.. you can now overwrite whats in Logical folder with the merged pdf binary.

After overwriting logical folder, refresh the pdf report maybe after 15 seconds and the merged pdf will appear. Or you can also grab it in filemaintenance or in report output files.

5) in CA, you can grab the merged PDF in logical folder and send it via email.

Note: the 15 second window is the time we grab the report in report output then  send to IDM for merging and the overwriting whats in CSI10 with the merged PDF. 

if youre onpremise, there is a pdf dll in program files in infor folder (PdfSharp-gdi.dll) . use it to merge and same steps as above and just replace the step 3. above
