LN to EBICS integration to fetch bank statements

In Central Europe, there is a need for LN to interface with EBICS interface/protocol to be able to connect to banks and fetch statements. This is not standard but fetching camt053 statement seem standard. Has anyone done this and any knowledge would help.

Ideally camt053 statements can be generated in XML and should be accessible via API calls.

So conceptually, API Gateway can be configured with the details of the statement provider API and then called to get it.
