Hi everyone,

Does anyone know how to manually trigger or force the sending of a standard BOD from SyteLine?

I’m looking for a way to send an existing (standard) BOD on demand, not through the usual event or automatic process.

I haven't done any BOD development myself, but if you look in the Insert/Update triggers (such as item_mstIup) you can see where it makes a call to the stored procedure RemoteMethodForReplicationTargetsSp to launch the stored procedure to trigger a BOD sync. You could do similar from a form event.

To call it from a form you'd either need to use the dynamic IDO (SP!) with the stored procedure name, or create your own IDO Method to call the stored procedure as I don't think its in any of the standard IDOs since its normally only called from SQL. Also, the @IdoName is a defunct parameter and doesn't do anything. You are always passing a SQL Stored Procedure name in the @MethodName parameter.

And again - this is just a brute force way to do it by mimicking the database triggers. There is probably a much more elegant way - you may want to check the Extensibility Guide and see if it mentions a way to do it.
