We are just adopting infor IQM for document approval workflow.
I'm helping to migrate out of a home-grown system.
I have two questions about getting started.
Our goal is to mass upload to the Document Maintenance and Attached Documents screens.
1 - I started the approach by looking at the MSSql database under IQM and mapping the data structures with the plan to upload our data via SQL. It looks like the data in Document Maintenance and Attached Documents screens are stored in VQ_DOCUMENT and DOCUMENTOBJECT respectively. I have mapped out the primary, unique, and foreign keys but I can not see the tie between those two tables. When in the user interface on the Document Maintenance screen and we right-click to choose "Documents for Current", from where is that data queried?
2 - Alternatively, it looks like other infor modules support the uploading of data via spreadsheet. I can find no information online or in the IQM module to suggest that spreadsheet import is possible within IQM.
If neither of these approaches are feasible, how have others completed mass data upload to IQM?
