EPM: Printing Dashboard to PDF

Hi everyone,

I've created a series of dashboards using a combination of self-service widgets and custom application studio reports. I understand it is possible to print individual widgets, but I haven't been able to find a way to export an entire dashboard to PDF.

The reason I'm looking to do this is so the dashboard can be included in a report pack or shared as a static, point-in-time visualisation.

I'm wondering whether anyone has found a workaround or alternative approach to achieve this?

I don't believe dashboards can be printed. You could create an Application Studio report that has all the graphs/numbers on a single report which can then be exported to PDF.

Do you need this for a static copy of your dashboards for reporting/archiving purposes?

One option would be to introduce an additional dimension, such as "Management Reporting Period." This would allow you to create a snapshot of the data at a specific point in time, giving you online access to the "as reported" version at any time. You wouldn't need a PDF version; everything would be available online.

Alternatively, as Peter suggested: AppStudio Report.

Yeah, I agree that creating the Application Studio report is probably the way to go if the dashboards can't be printed.

My current requirement is to have a PDF of the dashboard generated to be included in an external report pack, but I like your idea of creating a snapshot dataset driven by a dimension for online reporting. Appreciate it!
