We opened this Enhancement Request about a year ago. We are seeking endorsements on ER-117818 in which we are asking Infor to create functionality where Insurance Premiums can be deducted a month in advance. Here are the details:
Summary: Our health and dental insurance benefits collects premiums a month in advance of coverage. The benefit contributions/coverage records update each plan year (7/1/25 to 6/30/26) with new rates. We use the coverage/plan begin date, but we need the payroll deductions to have a end/begin dates a month earlier to take the new premiums a month in advance. We must manually move the deduction end dates back a month so the old rates would not be taken. We could not move the deduction begin dates back a month. We received the error "Begin date must be on or after July 1, 2024". As a work around we had to manually process One Time Deductions through ISD for the new rates for both payrolls in June. This also applies to new hires, employees changing from not-eligible to eligible, and any plan changes for employees. This is tied to CS[G]0004493.
Workaround: We must manually move the deduction end dates back a month, so the old rates are not taken. We had to manually process One Time Deductions through ISD for the new rates for both payrolls in June.
Business Impact: Each year we must manually update deduction end dates and add One Time Deductions for June payrolls These manual updates are not 100% accurate since the system is real time and changes are happening all the time. We end up with a lot of manual cleanup afterwards due to these required manual actions.
