In Lawson S3, the Federal Exempt checkbox at the bottom of theW-4 form in ESS (Employee Self Service) is not changing the employee to an Exempt status. Instead, it is being determined by the numeric values on the W-4 fields step 3 and 4. Is this working for anyone else?
Our current work around is having the employee put $98,000 in step 3, but often times they place in the incorrect box, and it causes issues with their paycheck.
Any information you can provide is much appreciated.
