We are experiencing a problem with reports displaying in Syteline 8 On Premise for users with adobe licenses after applying KB5074109.
Report Viewer displays an empty screen instead of the report.
Has anyone else addressed this issue?
Same Issue. Can't roll back as the patch was for several zero days.
We are seeing the same issue, uninstall the update solves the problem but a better fix is needed.
we are seeing the same thing. The preview page is grey with nothing showing.
We uninstalled as well as a temporary resolution. We are going to experiment with a few ideas we found online - but if they don't work, we are hoping that Microsoft/Adobe will correct with their next updates. If find out anything, I will let you know.
If you can report back any findings that would be great
We either have the users copy the preview path and paste into browser, map the report path, or do this which opens it directly in adobe. Still waiting on a fix. https://community.adobe.com/questions-12/adobe-acrobat-reader-shows-a-grey-screen-after-installing-kb5074109-when-utilising-the-webbrowser-component-in-windows-1546977
thank you for the link - this is helpful. We have a meeting to discuss with our Syteline Consulting partner next week. They informed they have other clients with this issue.
Our IT Manager and I tested the preview fix referenced in the adobe post and it corrects the problem. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/january-29-2026-kb5074105-os-builds-26200-7705-and-26100-7705-preview-85bd25de-894a-43eb-a19b-9a59d10f194b#id0ebdj=normal_rollout
We have tested the same KB here and can confirm it does fix the problem.
Well, for us, the preview fixed the problem — but last week's windows update didn't have the fix - so we didn't apply and are waiting to see if repair occurs at next month's update
That's what we are seeing here. Even re-applying the kb5074105 didn't fix it.
Uninstalling KB5077181 does restore the preview.
Thank you, scinfouser8487, for the suggestion to cut and paste into the brower. We took this concept a step further and modified the Report Viewer form to automatically display the Report URL - instead of requiring the user to cut and paste.
