Can we use the ION DB Connector to connect to a SQL database in the cloud, still we need to go through the Enterprise Connector.
For an ION Connection Point, SQL connections can only go through Enterprise Connector. I have customers that have added routes from EC server to cloud and some that just created an EC in the Cloud Network. The only Connection type allowed directly from ION is an sFTP connection.

No problem! We did not, but the EC lived in an environment with pretty fast internet and was located in the same region in the US as the aws region hosting the SQL environment. What exactly are you trying to send to SQL Cloud? Infor has connectors now for AWS and Azure SQL through their Streaming and Pipelines appication. That pipelines process is a direct connection from Data Lake out to a hosted sql as updates happen There are additional costs with the Streaming/Pipelines Application.
Hi Brandon, This is not outbound, this is inboud process.
We just need to download some information from third party to Infor OS, partner is writing details to Cloud DB.
Can you pickup from them with sFTP? Or do they have the ability to call API's? You could use the IMS via API Connection Point and have them drop a BOD on the bus.
from partner side, they only do is that write data into tables. presently not open for any other options.
