Add Documentation or Attachments Tab in Configuration Console

Please vote on my ER for Configuration Console. Hopefully, others agree this enhancement would be put to good use.

When creating configurations—whether user configurations, action configurations, menus, fields, and so on—we are limited to adding a short description. Alternatively, we can embed comments directly in the LPL. While tags are useful for grouping configurations and promoting them between environments, there is currently no way to attach supporting documentation.

It would be valuable to allow attachments—such as Word documents, emails, or knowledge base articles—to be associated with a configuration for historical reference. These attachments could capture decision rationale, stakeholder involvement, and other contextual information that is often lost over time.

Hi Stace,

Starting in the April CU we can add custom Context Messages and Context Message Invocations, making adding context IDM documents anywhere in the FSM application much easier.

For this use case, you likely just need to add…

- Document Type in IDM
- Business Context Model entry in IDM for the screen where you want the in-context documents to appear
- Context Message in Config Console for the business class (e.g. Config Entity) that includes unique keys for the context record
- Context Message Invocation for where the context message should be applied (e.g. Config Entity form).

With those elements added you can add IDM attachments to any Config Entity record using the Related Information widget. Another benefit of IDM documents is there is inherent version control.

If you have a PP1 tenant can test this right now.

It's a great new feature in the April CU, I'm not sure why they didn't highlight any of the Landmark changes on the last Release Highlights call.

Also I can't seem to find "RN-6839938 Sync IFS roles to Landmark post tenant data copy" anywhere in the April 2026 Landmark Release Report. Is it documented somewhere else?

Hello Andy,

The Release Highlights sessions will include Landmark technology noteworthy enhancements. The 2026.04 Release Highlights session held in March inadvertently omitted the Landmark technology enhancements.

The most comprehensive and detailed review of the Landmark technology enhancements in each Feature Release will always be the Infor U Campus "Landmark: Introducing New Enhancements" Release Training (RT) course.

I still can't seem to find "RN-6839938 Sync IFS roles to Landmark post tenant data copy" in the Landmark Release Report. Is it in a different release report, or am I just not seeing it?

Hello Andy,

The code for the "Sync IFS roles to Landmark post tenant data copy" feature is included in the Infor Landmark Technology Runtime 2026.04 release; however, the corresponding menu item is currently hidden.

The Infor OS technology platform needs to deliver an enhancement in its 2026.06 release to support the new functionality. When that happens, the new menu item (Sync IFS Roles) will be exposed in the Infor Landmark Technology Runtime 2026.06 release and its Release Report will be updated accordingly.
