Hi Everyone,
I wanted to start a brand-new discussion post focused on the Inventory Intelligence interface. For those who may not be familiar, Inventory Intelligence is a feature within Infor that analyzes historical and current data to help prevent over‑ and under‑stocking in Inventory/PAR Rooms.
What’s Working: Some of its key capabilities include generating PAR level recommendations based on system‑driven calculations to suggest appropriate on‑hand quantities. It also identifies potential removal candidates for items that are rarely used or no longer belong in a specific storage room. Another strong aspect of this tool is that much of its analysis is driven by the configurations defined by your organization, allowing the outputs to align closely with established processes. Overall, Inventory Intelligence has contributed to noticeable improvements and cleanup within our storage rooms.
What Needs Guardrails: We have observed that recommendations can be disproportionately influenced by extreme data points, often resulting in minor adjustments that create unnecessary operational effort for staff. While the system includes a Post Processing configuration intended to serve as a safeguard against insignificant or unstable recommendations, this functionality is currently limited to Inventory Locations and does not extend to PAR Rooms. If helpful, additional context can be found in the Enhancement Request I submitted (ER 125493), which outlines our situation in more detail.
