Infor does not currently retain any information related to asynchronous (async) failures. Once a failure is requeued or deleted, there is no record of the event within the Infor tenant.
For audit purposes, and to enable reporting and retrospective review of async triggers that have failed, it would be extremely valuable for Infor to implement a tracking solution that captures, at a minimum, the following:
- When the failure occurred
- What action was taken on the failed async trigger (e.g., requeued or deleted)
- When the action was taken
- Who took the action
- The ability to retrieve the stack trace (PDF) associated with the failure
It seems counterintuitive that successful async triggers are logged and can be reviewed, while failed triggers are not retained in the system at all.
An enhancement request was submitted for this capability but was closed by Infor (ER 125513).
